Meet Your Facilitators

Marcia Bertschi, BBA, CPA,CMA, NBHWC, is the founder of Navigating Transitions, a coaching and facilitation practice rooted in lived experience and a deep belief in human potential. She created this work to offer the kind of support she herself needed while moving through life’s shifting phases—and to provide individuals and teams with meaningful, practical guidance as they make changes that matter. With over 12 years of coaching experience and a background in business, healthcare, and communication, Marcia has supported more than 150 people and teams to define and implement goals with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

A National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBHWC) with a business background (BBA) and professional accounting designations (CPA, CMA), Marcia brings a thoughtful mix of systems thinking and emotional intelligence to her work, helping clients move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to taking intentional, sustainable steps forward.

Marcia has delivered more than 100 workshops and developed numerous training programs, including a 15-year coordination of a Motivational Interviewing and Brief Action Planning training initiative that supported over 2,000 learners across vast and varied geographies.

Deb Woods, PhD, PMP, is a strategic leader and systems thinker with over 20 years of

experience transforming complex organizational challenges into meaningful opportunities for growth. With a background spanning operations, program design, and change management, Deb brings clarity and compassion to the often messy realities of work. Her approach is grounded in the belief that sustainable change happens when people feel seen, supported, and resourced to act.

Holding a PhD in Social Psychology and certification as a Project Management Professional, Deb combines academic insight with real-world pragmatism. Her work is further shaped by lived experience navigating the pressures of complex workplaces—where misalignment, burnout, and competing priorities can quietly take hold.

In her career, Deb has led regional healthcare initiatives, supported frontline teams through complexity and crisis, and built structures that make good work possible—even in strained systems. Her work is deeply informed by a commitment to equity, practical wisdom, and the quiet power of resilience.
